Ready for Camp!

Information for campers and families about what to bring to camp!

Please drop your child off at McLaurin Baptist Church at 8am.  Pick up is at 4:45pm

Please put the following in their back pack:

A lunch

Water bottle

Hat

sweater

Sunscreen, bug spray

And a change of clothes, (just in case they find a way to get wet)

Ensure that your child is dressed each day appropriate for the weather.  Remember to make sure they have appropriate footwear not just flip flops as they will be running and playing on uneven ground

We are following AHS guidelines for children’s programming.  If your child has any of the following symptoms please keep them home that day: fever, cough, sore throat etc.…   Please call our director at 780-512-5153 if you have questions or to let us know your child will not be attending camp one day

When you arrive for the first day of camp to drop off campers, you will have a waiver to sign (if you have not already done so at the church or through a previous email). Please sign it and return it to us at this email or bring it with you. (there are two pages to the form and four places you will need to  fill in/sign.  If you cannot do this prior to Monday there will be forms available at check in, but you will need to allow extra time at check in to do this.

CHECKIN INFORMATION for parents and guardians!
Each day as you drop your campers off at McLaurin, you will use KidCheck to sign your children in each day. Kidcheck is free to use for parents/guardians, and anyone dropping campers off in the mornings will need to have an account setup prior to admitting children to camp. We would be glad to help anyone do this at the church in the morning; however, it will be a faster drop off if this to be done prior to arriving at the church. It only takes a minute to do!

 You can also do this directly on your smartphone or mobile device through the KidCheck app (icon is a white check on a blue background) or also online at https://www.kidcheck.com/signup/

When dropping off your children, there are two ways to sign them in.

1.       Use the KidCheck mobile App to check in – fast and touchless – If you have the app, it can be used to prepare your check in. You can even do it before you arrive at the church! When you do get here, you will be able to press the ‘Submit Check-In’ button on the app and your campers nametags will print out at our welcome desk. Simply line up and we’ll have them ready for you when its your turn to the desk!

2.       Use the touchscreen computers at the entrance to check in. When you arrive, you will check in manually through the computers. Simply put in your phone number and select the campers and hit the check in button. A nametag will be printed out for the camper that will also contain information related to any health issues staff need to be aware of (allergies, etc.). The camper needs to place the nametag on their chest on a location that is visible to all staff.
