Sr High Camp was a blazing success! Thanks to all who made it a great experience for all, especially Beth Bellamy and her team of leaders, as well as our special guest speaker: Pastor Doug.
Jr High Camp 1 (including Horsemanship 1) starts wit Registration on Saturday July 10th @ 6pm
*note for Horsemanship Campers – your finish time on July 16th will be at 4pm, not 12 noon as it is for the regular camp.

“hahahaha this camp is the best one i’ve ever been to! i’m 12 and when i went to this camp i found friends, interesting fact about wildlife, God, and hahahhaa how to TRY to start a fire, and great leaders! in the craft shack i created lots of interesting items, such as my leaf collection, i also got to collect cool bugs and i got the special treatment of getting wrapped in plastic wrap! on about the 3rd day my friend and i were going on a long trail. it was a game kinda thing, but what we found was amazing! we found a large skull! we weren’t exactly sure of what kind it was but it was kool! when we showed the leaders they were like WOW! and put it on desplay in the mess hall! its there to this very day! and every group gets to try to make a “believable” story on what it was and how it died!, and that was only a fraction of an inch of what all happened there! but i cant ruin the surprise! hope i see ya there!”

Clint and Connie have been working A LOT lately. They’ve been spending lots of time at the Camp, getting ready for all of our Campers to come and join us. Let’s see what they’ve got to update us with this time…
As we get ready for Summer 2010 and “Camp Wapiti Rocks”, we start to hear more and more questions from parents about that dreaded plague that inevitably visits every camp every season – “Homesickness”.
Camp can be a scary place for some children, especially if it’s their first time away from Mom and Dad. Our friends over at Charis Hills Camp have a great Blog Entry that we’ll point you too, showing some great tips on how parents can help their children overcome Homesickness.
So Clint and Connie decided to move outside for this week’s V-log. And they recruited Jeremy for an inspirational moment. Enjoy! Camps start in less than 34 days!
As we get ready for the summer, we’re also getting ready for some of the projects that we will have going on out at the camp. One of those projects includes finishing the outside of our chimney with “river stones”.
As you make your way out to Camp Wapiti for a visit, or for your camp, feel free to help us by picking up a rounded stone from the old gravel pits. We’re looking for everything from a tennis-ball sized stone to a larger (6-7 inches maximum) melon sized stone. We’ll need lots, and if everyone brings one stone, we’ll have more than enough in no time.
This will be an exciting project that will happen while some of the campers are with us. We’re excited to share this experience with you as we explore together and meet with God in nature!
So, if you’ve been seeing some strange things around here lately, we’re sorry. We were the unfortunate victims of some hackers, and we’re working to make sure we can get things back to “normal” for you. Here’s a quick update from our illustrious Clint and Connie.
